Our name is
based on the Dallas urban legend about a lady ghost at White Rock Lake.

here. The Lady of the Lake Relays will run two loops around White
Rock Lake for a total of 18 miles. You have the option of forming either
two or four person teams. Or if you want to go it alone, you can run the
18 miles by yourself. We will have fun throughout the course with great
party and food afterwards! So join with us on March 7, 2009 as
we honor the spirits of White Rock Lake with a symbolic team frolic around
the lake as we remember The Lady of theLake.
Cost
Four-Person Teams:
$100 - ($25 per person) through February 1, 2009
$120 - ($30 per person) February 2 through race day
Two-Person Teams:
$60 - ($30 per person) through February 1, 2009
$70 - ($35 per person) February 2 through race day
Single person running two loops:
$30 - Through February 1, 2009
$35 - February 2 through race day
Packet Pickup:
March 5 & 6, 2009 - 10 am to 7 pm
Team packets for pre-registered teams will be available at the following
locations. If you wish to register and pay for your team in person you
can only do so race day at the event. There will be no registration
at the Run-On stores race week. We ask that all team members pick
the same pickup location and have one member pick up all packets.

The Relay legs and course: Course
Map
This flat course circles White Rock Lake twice, starting at Winfrey
Point. The four legs are: 5.25 - 3.75 - 5.25 and 3.75 miles. The 5.25
legs start at Winfrey Point and end on Wesy Lawther at the exchange point.
The 3.75 leg starts at the exchange point and finishes at Winfrey Point.
The first and third exchange point occurs On West lawther near Fisher
Rd. The second exchange occurs at back at Winfrey Point. Two-person teams
will have each member do a nine-mile loop around the lake with the handoff
at Winfrey Point. Competitors then head up East Lawther Drive to the new
Mockingbird bridge. The course then follows East Lawther to Garland Rd
and back to West Lawther, where runners will take the bike path around
the lake, returning to Winfrey Point. There will be a 4-hourcourse time
limit.
Timing:
The Lady of the Lake Relays will use chip timing. We will be featuring
the latest chip timing system, IPICO. Timing chips that will be attached
to your running shoes. and you willget your loaner chip at the event.

Race Day Transportation
The relays will have shuttle bus service to take all participants of 4-Person
Teams running the second and fourth leg and will return all those running
the first and third legs.
